A live storytelling event about the shifts that shape us.
A book launch. A stage. Twelve voices. 7 minute stories. Great food. Sips and laughter. Live music and a Lip Sync Battle that might just steal the show.

The speakers

The Book launch

You can drift through midlife. Or, you can SHIFT. Three commitments, seven mindsets, and only one second half. Live it well.
SHIFT is a conversation about mindset, meaning, courage, and clarity.

Not a pep talk. A gentle hand on your shoulder. Three commitments. Seven mindsets. An invitation to slow down, to pay attention, to let yourself be surprised. Backed by research, made for real life, with simple tools, small steps and generous questions that open you up to the second half of your life.

SHIFT isn’t about reinvention. It’s about remembering who you are. Who you’ve always been. And learning to live from that place with gusto and verve.

about the event

The Shift Sessions

📅 Wednesday, November 5th
🕒 6:30–9:30 PM
📍 Granville Island Stage / Arts Club Theatre
The Shift Sessions is an evening of real stories, told live by people who’ve gone through shifts, come out the other side, and are brave enough to talk about it.
Some are experts.
Some aren’t.
Their stories aren’t flashy.
They’re human.
Come for the voices. Twelve of them. Food that makes you smile, music that moves you, and a Lip Sync Battle you did not see coming. Leave lighter. Leave moved. Leave seeing your story with new eyes.
What You’ll Receive at Shift Sessions:

A copy of SHIFT: 7 Mindsets for an Inspired Midlife

You’ll walk away with the book. We hope you do more than read it. We hope you wear it out with all your underlining, dog-earing and referencing.

Stories that stick with you

Real people. Honest stories that make you nod, laugh, maybe tear up a little and leave thinking, “That hits home.”

Insights from people who’ve been there

Some bring expertise. All bring generosity. They’ve done the work, asked the hard questions, and are here to share what they’ve learned

Beautiful food and drink care of Vij’s

Hors d’oeuvres by award-winning Vij’s. Small bites. Big flavour. You’ll want seconds. Maybe thirds.

A room full of curious people

People curious about what’s next. Asking great questions. Figuring things out. People like you.

Renewed perspective

You might walk away with a little more clarity. A new question to sit with. A story you’re ready to rewrite and a direction to explore. That kind of shift? It’s where real change begins.
